This is a temporary full-time position that is expected to extend until approximately Aug 10, 2027, (with potential for renewal), subject to the availability of work.
The successful applicant will be working under the supervision of Dr. Manuel Montero-Odasso, Director of the Gait & Brain Lab, a vibrant and busy hospital-based laboratory implementing clinical studies with older adults. The Research Assistant 1 will work within a multi-disciplinary research team at Parkwood Institute on research studies related to mobility and cognition in older adults.
As a Research Assistant 1, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of various research studies focused on mobility, cognition, and healthy aging in older adults. The successful incumbent will join a recently funded national virtual interventional trial aimed at improving mobility and cognition through personalized lifestyle interventions.
Responsibilities may include assisting with patient screening, recruitment of study participants, scheduling visits, conducting study participant interviews and/or assessments, data entry and analysis, literature review and providing administrative support to the research team. Performs well-defined routine assessments on study participants.
