Salary Range: $28.89 - $36.10 /hour
This is a temporary full-time position is anticipated to extend until approximately December 31, 2026 (with potential for renewal), subject to the availability of work.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of Dr. Robert Teasell in the role of the "Research Assistant 2". The CORRE Research Team has been highly successful in developing neurorehabilitation research synthesis and databases and publishing the results.
The successful candidate will be expected to conduct literature reviews, learn to identify articles that meet criteria, conduct data-extraction onto an existing template, interpret statistics, assist with analysis and collation of the data, and assist with manuscript draft writing. There is an opportunity to lead the writing of articles once proficiency is demonstrated.
This is a 5 day (37.5 hours) per week position.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health-related field
- Experience in conducting systematic reviews, including use of software (i.e., Covidence);Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Experience with statistical data analysis, Excel analysis and data management skills (e.g., appropriate formula use)
- Requires excellent attention to detail, organizational and planning skills
- Ability to communicate effectively scientific information in writing
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
Preferred Qualifications- A Masters in Science in health-related field is preferred;
- Experience with software for statistical analysis (e.g., SPSS, R);
- Experience with assessment of methodological quality/risk of bias (e.g., Cochrane).
Immunization Requirements- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
