Manager, Clinical Business Systems - Perioperative Services - 1 position

Salary Range: $58.37 - $68.67 /hour


Temporary position anticipated to extend until September 4, 2026, and is subject to the availability of work

This leadership position is responsible for the day-to-day operation and the coordination of services of the Clinical Business Systems. As the leader you are responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operations of the business solutions metrics and resources (human, financial, space, consumables and capital). This role is responsible for ensuring support of quality service delivery in a timely and safe manner within a very high paced, high volume ambulatory care setting. The outcomes of this role ensure the timely delivery of supplies, information including wait time, perioperative data as well as budget both operational and capital across perioperative services portfolio.

Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services with strength in program and fiscal planning, you are skilled in developing and implementing business strategies to achieve established outcomes. You have knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA and the ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA. You promote a systems approach to planning and implementation and have an excellent working knowledge of computers and their applications. You are a self-directed individual with strong problem solving, communication and presentation skills. You have a business degree and supply chain knowledge. Previous leadership experience in the health care industry is preferred.

The Manager utilizes business knowledge and leadership skills to ensure outcomes of quality patient care through the planning and coordination of human and physical resources. An established professional, you will act as a coach, facilitator, teacher and provide leadership to support the continuous development of the team. You possess highly developed leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and are known as an innovator, enabler and systems thinker. Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business
  • Certificate and/or designation in Supply Chain Management
  • 3 years leadership preferably in the healthcare sector, inventory management experience, financial management experience with operating and capital budgets and knowledge of legislation inclusive to working in a hospital
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
  • Ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA
  • Strong leadership, coaching, consultation, facilitation, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of legislation related to Employment, People & Financial Management
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership and team development skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Very strong computer skills for word processing, data management and informational research skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading diverse teams resulting in improved efficiency and/or process improvements.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in healthcare environments; ambulatory surgical care preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in program development, lean methodology program evaluation, project management and research.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • In addition, the successful candidate will possess strong Leadership capabilities including Lead Self; Engage Others; Achieve Results; Develop Coalition; System Transformation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in French would be an asset
  • Master's degree in business related field
  • Experience in performance management, conflict resolution and attendance management
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center
  • Regulated Health Care designation an asset

As an employee of St Joseph's, you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties
Immunization Requirements
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
