This is a temporary full-time position that is expected to extend until November 22, 2026, and is subject to availability of work.
The research assistant will be working under the supervision of Dr. Manuel Montero-Odasso, Director of the Gait & Brain Laboratory, and a senior project manager, within a multi-disciplinary research team at Parkwood Institute on interventional research studies related to mobility and cognition in older adults. The successful incumbent will be joining a recently funded national interventional virtual trial to improve mobility and cognition in older adults. With training, their main duties will be conducting remote cognitive and mobility assessments, and coaching older adult participants in better improving five lifestyle domains: exercise, cognitive training, diet, sleep, and vascular risk factors. The successful incumbent will work under the supervision of the Study Research Coordinator (RC), and will also conduct day-to-day operations of the research study including recruitment, performing of participant assessments in accordance with IRB/REB regulations, and other duties as required. He/she must ensure compliance with the research study protocol, research policies, and regulatory requirements.
This is for a full-time in-person position; 5 days (37.5 hours) per week, for a one-year contract with a high likelihood of renewal.
