This is an exciting leadership opportunity within the Finance team at St. Joseph's Health Care London. The successful candidate will provide specialized support for research accounting, reporting, and budgeting, while also contributing to hospital-wide financial operations. This influential leadership position reports directly to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for:
- Oversee accounting, reporting, and budgeting for research activities, ensuring compliance with funder requirements and internal policies.
- Oversee grant financial management, including preparation of funder reports and audits.
- Oversee the preparation of required internal financial reports and statements including external financial statements, financial reports required by funders and internal financial reporting required by leaders, the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Directors - Oversee and support the full preparation of annual operating budgets
- Oversee and support peer benchmarking activities to compare financial performance and practices with similar organizations, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Partner with auditors to ensure effective execution of external audit processes and robust internal controls.
- Support modeling for new research initiatives and hospital programs.
- Identify and implement relevant accounting pronouncements within Public Sector Accounting Standards and CPA Handbook Part III Section 4200.
- Participate in internal committees overseeing strategic projects.
- As a highly motivated and engaging leader, the Manager will demonstrate effective communication, visionary leadership and exceptional people management skills complemented by strong problem solving and change management expertise.
