Salary Range: $40.24 - $57.68 /hour
St. Joseph’s Health Care is willing to consider applicants who are eligible for Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN). This program provides $25,000 in grant funding to eligible RPNs/RNs/ Nurse Practitioners in exchange for a two-year full-time commitment. Essential Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BCLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in breast imaging, including familiarity with interventional and procedural workflows.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in oncology, with demonstrated understanding of cancer care pathways and patient navigation.
- Minimum 2 years of surgical nursing experience, including assisting with or managing procedural care.
- Experience with the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) required
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment with a focus on collaborative and compassionate care.
- Advanced communication and interviewing skills to effectively engage with patients experiencing anxiety or uncertainty surrounding breast health and cancer diagnoses.
- Demonstrated excellence in patient interviewing and assessment, including the ability to obtain comprehensive health histories and psychosocial information to support diagnostic and treatment planning.
- Clinical judgment and critical thinking in synthesizing patient narratives, imaging findings, and medical history to support team-based decision-making
- Proven ability to triage patients based on clinical findings, patient-reported symptoms, and procedural readiness in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Experience providing patient education and informed consent discussions related to diagnostic procedures and surgical interventions.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and address barriers to care, coordinating with social work, oncology navigation, and community supports as appropriate.
- Proficiency in documenting patient encounters and clinical assessments in accordance with organizational standards and CNO documentation guidelines.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care practices when conducting patient interviews and assessments.
- Demonstrated competency in performing Clinical Breast Exams (CBE).
- Strong knowledge of community resources and support networks available to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer
Preferred Qualifications- Proficiency in French would be an asset.
- Electro surgery and laser certifications

Immunization Requirements- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
