Temporary Full Time
Salary Range: $17.20 - $17.20 /hour


This is a temporary full-time opportunity anticipated to extend until September 2, 2025, subject to the availability of work.

Will be required to work every second weekend.

The Veterans Care Program assists war service Veterans whose daily functioning and health is affected by chronic illnesses as well as physical and mental health problems, which may include dementia. We support Veterans to be as independent as possible and to reach their full capability within a safe environment. Families are key partners in our care team and are supported by the team to adjust and adapt to the changing needs of their issues.

The Student would be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Iron Duke Pub.

Duties would include:
- Stocking the fridge with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Following all rules and regulations related to the Veterans food and travel pass information
- Clean and sanitize the tables and bar area when not in use
- Removing empty beer bottles
- Engage with the Veterans and provide a welcoming atmosphere by participating in conversations, events, games etc.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to ensure safe storage of alcoholic beverages.



Essential Qualifications

  • Secondary (High) School Diploma
  • Smart Serve certification
  • Previous experience working with the elderly
  • Highly motivated and determined
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in compliance with the OHSA
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in French would be an asset
Teaching and Research
  • St. Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee of St. Joseph's, you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties
Immunization Requirements
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
