As an integral part of the Communication and Public Affairs team at St. Joseph's Health Care London, the Communications Associate uses their talents for creative storytelling and audience engagement to contribute to innovative internal and external communication initiatives.

Working closely with our team of communication professionals, the successful candidate will support the execution of strategies that elevate the voices of patients, residents, staff and physicians. They will help bring our mission, vision and values to life using tactics across multiple platforms, with a strong emphasis on social media engagement and implementation.

With an ability to work independently in both in-office and hybrid work environments, the Communications Associate thrives in a collaborative environment with a focus on enhancing the experience of our key stakeholders.



Essential Qualifications

• Degree/diploma in corporate communication, public relations or journalism program
• Minimum of two years experience working in corporate communication/public relations
• Demonstrated experience in storytelling and content generation for the purpose of developing written and online communications with an emphasis on social media
• Demonstrated experience in supporting and measuring digital communication including content management systems (e.g. Drupal), Sharepoint and relevant social media platforms (Facebook, X, LinkedIN, Instagram)
• Service-oriented with excellent organization skills and the capacity to work in a busy environment with many customers and a variety of requests/needs
• Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in often tight timelines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including editing experience requiring good command of the English language, grammar, spelling and CP style

• Previous experience in a large corporate, health care or non-profit setting
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, etc.) an asset
• Demonstrated experience in multi-media technology and project management
