Salary Range: $40.36 - $56.30 /hour
We are seeking a Physiotherapist to provide services for the Rehabilitation Program at Parkwood Institute The candidate will primarily provide physiotherapy to NeuroTrauma Rehabilitation Services patients. NeuroTrauma Rehabilitation Services is a fee for service program which serves individuals 16 years of age and over who experience neurological trauma from accident or disease (examples include acquired brain injury, and spinal cord injury). Payers include motor vehicle insurance and WSIB. Services will be provided in accordance with the Employer's Standards for Business Conduct and all FSRA Licensing Regulations.
Essential Qualifications
- Valid registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Experience and demonstrated competency in establishing rehabilitation goals and in the implementation of strategies and protocols for goal attainment
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Demonstrated experience using a patient centered approach
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team setting as well as with case managers, insurance companies and attorneys
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven flexibility and a high level of initiative
- Travel within the catchment area
- Familiarity with outcome measurement related to clinical practice
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate evidence based research into practice
Preferred Qualifications- Proficiency in French would be an asset
- Minimum of 2 years full time related experience working in the area of automobile insurance and WSIB.
- Experience with vocational rehabilitation
- Knowledge of computer systems (e.g. workload measurement, Cerner, Outlook, Microsoft Office)
- Demonstrates initiatives with program development/improvement
- Demonstrated experience in both hospital and community service delivery
- Knowledge of and ability to mobilize community resources
- Assistive Devices Program (ADP) Authorizer
- Demonstrated ability to work with and direct support personnel
- Knowledge of gait retraining and vestibular therapy

Immunization Requirements- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
