Salary Range: $36.84 - $50.24 /hour
The successful candidate will be assigned to work within mammography.
We are seeking a dedicated Mammography Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) to join our dynamic mammography team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammographic procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and upholding the highest standards of safety and accuracy. The successful candidate will be adept or willing to learn various mammographic procedures, including tomosynthesis, contrast mammography, contrast-enhanced stereotactic biopsies, and pre-operative localizations.
As a Registered Technologist, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that is committed to delivering exceptional patient care. Your role will involve continuous skill enhancement and knowledge acquisition, reflecting our commitment to professional development. You will be responsible for maintaining competency and adhering to the standards set forth by the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO).

Essential Qualifications
- Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario
- Certificate in Breast Imaging or willingness to obtain
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Capable of performing various technical procedures requiring independent judgment with skill, ingenuity and initiative
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated ability to take the lead during Mammographic procedures, and at times do them alone
- Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot equipment problems to minimize down time
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently and function without radiologist's supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills when communicating with difficult patients, other staff members, and the multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications- Proficiency in French would be an asset
- Two years experience as a Mammography Technologist
Teaching and Research- St. Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee of St. Joseph's, you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties
Immunization Requirements- Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine (primary series/boosters, XBB or KP.2) OR one dose of KP.2 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the start date.
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
