Salary Range: $56.67 - $66.67 /hour


This is a Temporary Full-Time position, it is expected to extend until September 30, 2025.

St. Joseph's Health Care London is a regional partner in serving adult and geriatric populations requiring rehabilitative and specialized care at Parkwood Institute Main Building. To optimize capacity and flow to and within the inpatient services at Parkwood, an exciting new role has been developed: Project Lead, Capacity Optimization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Capacity Optimization Project, a quality improvement initiative aimed at optimizing capacity and maximizing the potential of our inpatient services. The project is guided by Ontario Health directives, local, regional and community system needs, and St. Joseph's 2024/2025 strategic plan. In addition to the leadership of this project, this role will act as a support to regional and sub-regional initiatives aimed at improving access and flow within our region. This role will work very closely with St. Joseph's Quality, Transformation, and Innovation (QTI) Team as well as key stakeholders and partners at Parkwood Institute Main Building.

Incorporating a project management approach, the successful applicant will provide leadership and at-the-elbow support to the Capacity Optimization Project's executive sponsor, steering and advisory committees and project implementation team. The results of this project will redesign our collective approach to optimizing capacity of our inpatient services at Parkwood Institute Main Building and translate regional and sub-regional information and direction into our site specific workplan.



Essential Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Degree in health-related discipline
  • Regulated Health Care Professional and current active member of the associated College
  • 2 years recent and relevant experience leading health system (re)design (Quality Improvement, Program Evaluation and/or Project Management)
  • Demonstrated abilities in project management and decision-making
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in research and program/project evaluation
  • Systems thinker with experience leading projects and initiatives aligned with strategic direction
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written, responsiveness and conflict resolution
  • Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Highly developed influencer skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use Word, PowerPoint, and Excel at an Intermediate level
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in health or quality related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Immunization Requirements
  • Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and a written commitment to follow any future Public Health recommendations and St. Joseph's Health Care London policies and processes related to Covid management in the workplace.
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
