Salary Range: $76.31 - $89.74 /hour

The Director is responsible for the delivery of the multi-site, facility related planning and engineering services to support clinical care in healthy and safe environments to meet objectives put forth by the Senior Leadership Team via both Facilities Engineering and Facilities Planning teams. Maintain all buildings and associated assets/equipment to maximize their safety, quality standards, sustainability, fiscal performance and in alignment with the master capital plan; as well as preventative maintenance required organizational practices. Support safe, high quality offsite/rental agreements to ensure that off-site spaces offer the same environmental standards as within the hospital. Oversee the hospital accountabilities in the Design Build Finance Maintain (DBFM) project agreements. Ensure that all workplaces are designed to achieve safe, effective and efficient use of space by all stakeholders.



Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Engineering
  • 7 years of experience in property management/facilities Engineering, with 5 of those years occurring in progressive leadership positions
  • Knowledge and experience with Architectural design
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of and experience with managing large scale capital projects greater than 20 million dollars annual composite greater than 50 million dollars
  • Experience managing and leading across multiple/diverse sites
  • Skilled in contract development, management, and negotiation
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA)
  • Ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA
  • Knowledge and experience in sustainable strategic planning to maintain core infrastructure for the organization for all corporate assets and rental properties, including planning for future needs, long term capital planning and life cycle needs.
  • Knowledge and experience with overseeing budgets, making strategic decisions about capital budgets, with lens to the external impact and external funding opportunities from multiple ministry/external stakeholders/internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers, senior leadership and external community partners and agencies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Business Administration or Engineering
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng)
  • Experience in healthcare a strong asset
Teaching and Research

Immunization Requirements
  • Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine (primary series, boosters and/or XBB) OR one dose of XBB vaccine at least 14 days prior to the start date.
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
