Registered Nurse, Medical Imaging - 1 position

Temporary Part Time


Temporary employment anticipated to extend until April 1, 2025, subject to the availability of work.



Essential Qualifications

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Valid CPR certificate
  • ACLS certified.
  • Basic ECG interpretation
  • Certification in IV BDC, drug administration including narcotics and anxiolytics.
  • Experience monitoring and assessment of patients undergoing IV conscious sedation
  • Knowledge and demonstration of surgical aseptic technique, ie Operating Room Nursing Course or recent experience in scrub nurse role
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
  • Ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA
  • Excellent decision making, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated effective collaborative, interpersonal and communication skills as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Self-directed individual with leadership abilities.
  • Ability to be flexible with a team approach to support all areas of Diagnostic Imaging including: managing patients with allergic contrast reactions, dressing changes, foley catheterizations, assessing patients medical status and ordering medical consults in collaboration with radiologist.
  • Physical strength to stand for long periods wearing lead apron approximately 15 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in French would be an asset.
  • Previous experience in interventional radiology room.
  • Previous experience in the Operating Room / PACU or Critical Care Area.

Immunization Requirements
  • Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine (primary series, boosters and/or XBB) OR one dose of XBB vaccine at least 14 days prior to the start date.
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
