Salary Range: $61.90 - $72.82 /hour

The St. Joseph's IT Manager Strategy & Operations will be playing a vital role in providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for all IT services across St. Joseph's, including corporate and clinical technology solutions, infrastructure, network, device management, and other IT service operations in accordance with key agreements and policies. It will play a pivotal role in establishing IT governance that supports St. Joseph's specific IT strategy roadmap development, contract and financial management, IT operations and performance monitoring/improvements.
This role will focus on the following key areas:
1) Formalizing and optimizing the IT governance and operations model
2) Enhancing the operational efficiencies for the hospital, specifically in modernizing and the ongoing management of corporate back-office technologies
3) Collaborating with the Clinical Informatics Coordinator (Manager) in ensuring the clinical technology solutions are meeting or exceeding clinical needs
4) Leading the development of organizational-wide AI strategies and implementation
5) Establishing a robust data governance framework and management
6) Collaborating closely with St. Joseph's corporate stakeholders, solution providers and vendors
Together with the Clinical Informatics Coordinator (Manager), this role is pivotal in enabling seamless transition and adoption of new technological solutions for corporate staff, contribute to the realization of our long-term business objectives and shape the future of our organization's technology landscape.



Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related field
  • Demonstrated 8+ years of experience in IT operations roles, with a strong track record of successfully leading and managing IT teams and projects in a corporate environment
  • Extensive experience in strategic planning, project management, and implementation of IT initiatives that support corporate objectives and drive business value
  • Solid understanding of contract management, negotiation, and vendor management practices, with experience managing Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and other key agreements
  • Strong knowledge of IT governance and operations, with the ability to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and risk mitigation
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
  • Ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA
Preferred Qualifications
  • ITIL certification
  • Proficiency in French would be an asset

As an employee of St. Joseph's, you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties
Immunization Requirements
  • Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine (primary series, boosters and/or XBB) OR one dose of XBB vaccine at least 14 days prior to the start date.
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
