Your experience and expertise coupled with your CPA designation will ensure success in leading the Foundation’s finance and donor administration functions. Supporting St. Joseph’s mission of care, the Foundation raises philanthropic funds to support the very best in care, teaching and research across the multiple sites and patient care programs of St. Joseph’s. A strong focus on performance and best practice, and the guidance of a community Board of Directors and professional leadership team are hallmark for the collaborative work environment.

The Director of Finance & Administration leads, directs and manages finance and donor administration functions including accountability for data management / IT systems that build and position St. Joseph’s as a worthy beneficiary of philanthropic support. This position reflects a combination of leadership focus with hands-on responsibility ensuring accurate and timely financial management & reporting including short term cash financial management, ensuring efficient workflows of gift processing and receipting and ensuring the integrity of and effective management of Foundation data / IT systems.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Finance & Administration provides leadership and support to a dedicated team of professional administrative and accounting staff. This role also serves as a member of the Foundation’s leadership team.

Essential Qualifications

  • A professional CPA accounting designation
  • A university degree, preferably with concentration in accounting, finance or business.
  • A minimum of five to seven years of related work experience in leadership, senior accounting and financial analyst roles including treasury/banking
  • Demonstrated track record of financial management leadership success, with experience in system and process development & integration across multiple IT/Data platforms;
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, accuracy and professionalism and well developed communication and presentation skills. ;
  • Reputation for integrity and highest level of ethical/professional standards with demonstrated sound judgement and discretion;
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with not-for-profit fund accounting & governance with a focus on health care fundraising
  • Previous experience with Blackbaud Software Fundraising Solutions including Raisers Edge (donor contact management), Financial Edge and Grant Making
Immunization Requirements
  • Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and a written commitment to follow any future Public Health recommendations and St. Joseph's Health Care London policies and processes related to Covid management in the workplace.
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
