RIS/PACS Specialist, Medical Imaging

Full Time
The RIS/PACS Specialist is an essential member of the Imaging team who is responsible for system and work flow analysis, data analysis and implements and maintains the clinical computer-supported operations for the Medical Imaging Program.
Essential Qualifications
- Post secondary school graduate in a diagnostic imaging field or information services
- Minimum five (5) years' experience within medical imaging, preferably in supporting radiology information systems
- Strong understanding of diagnostic imaging departmental and technical processes, protocols and procedures and their internal and external applications
- In depth knowledge of RIS/PACS principles/methods and their clinical applications
- Demonstrated understanding of Radiology dictation system and its integration with the EMR and PACS systems
- Demonstrated understanding of Cerner OneChart applications, Agfa, FFI, OneView, GearView and Centricity systems
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing process redesign
- Detailed knowledge of HCRM finance system
- Detailed knowledge of Ministry of Health Schedule of Benefits
- Detailed knowledge of Management Information System Standards, workload reporting and IHE standards
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in information technology commonly used software tools and their application in a medical imaging environment
- Experience using applications such as excel, power point, crystal reports, discern reports, and discern explorer reports
- Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills, using lean sigma six methodology
- Demonstrated customer service focus with superior interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and relate to others
- Ability to work quickly and accurately with attention to detail
- Self directed with demonstrated flexibility to meet the changing needs of the department
- Ability to develop training material and teach staff on current technology
- Experience with designing and facilitating learning opportunities using adult education principles
- PACS Administration Certificate or relative experience
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
Preferred Qualifications- Proficiency in French would be an asset

Immunization Requirements- Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and a written commitment to follow any future Public Health recommendations and St. Joseph's Health Care London policies and processes related to Covid management in the workplace.
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
