Working in collaboration with the Human Resources and OD teams, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to the improvement of the organizations capability by supporting the alignment of strategy, structure, people, rewards, metrics and management processes.
The Organizational Development Consultant is accountable for designing, implementing and evaluating effective interventions to influence leadership abilities, strengthen employee knowledge and abilities, foster productive team work and relationships and client satisfaction through evidence-based coaching, change management, training & process improvement supports, to enable excellence in care and service. They will be involved in supporting leaders, teams and corporate initiatives across all sites of St Joseph's. The successful candidate is highly skilled, flexible, innovative, organized, energetic, collaborative and passionate about bringing out the best in others.
The ideal candidate is a strong influencer using a variety of skills and techniques to effect change. The successful candidate will have the ability to deal with multiple priorities through highly developed time management skills combined with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet high demands and timelines.
Essential Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in organizational development, business administration, human resources, or related field
- 7+ years experience in organizational development, human resources, or related field
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful organizational development initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to assess organizational needs and develop creative solutions
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of a safety focused culture in a health care setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Experience in supporting organizational development and training initiatives across multiple teams
- Experience with coaching leaders for conflict resolution within teams
- Superior verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent listening skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to engage in effective outcome-focused performance coaching for leaders and teams and peers
- Strong strategic-thinking, systems-thinking, critical-thinking and lateral-thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to apply evidence to Facilitator
- Demonstrated independence requiring minimal supervision to achieve desired outcomes
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in organizational development, business administration, human resources, or related field
- 10+ years experience in organizational development, human resources, or related field
- Experience working in health care
- Certification in a relevant field, such as change management or coaching
- Experience working in a consulting capacity
- Familiarity with a variety of assessment tools, including 360-degree feedback surveys, personality assessments, etc.
- Certification in Vital Smarts training programs
Teaching and Research- St. Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee of St. Joseph's, you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties
Immunization Requirements- Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and a written commitment to follow any future Public Health recommendations and St. Joseph's Health Care London policies and processes related to Covid management in the workplace.
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
